Do you use DSL? Maybe you need to get a new filter?

Keep your fucking head on  !!!

Right

you need:

Your modem needs to be connected DIRECTLY to a filter - AND YOUR SISTERS PHONE TO THAT FILTER. once it gets past that point you can not use a phone, or any other device as it will cut it off.

So

DSL Modem into filter, phone into same filter. Filter goes into phone wall (or if your pc is to far away, into a phone extension cable - but make sure your phone etc DOES NOT GO PAST THAT FILTER!!

Hope this helps.

do u have an extension line? if so u will need to put a filter on this too even if ur modem isnt connected to that.

dunno if this is standard but thats what i had to do with mine

just wondering if you have digital television.... i wouldnt no what it wud be called...as i live in NZ>... but if you do... and its connected to a jackpoint (go and have a look), stick a filter in that...

do you have single plug filters plugged into every jackpoint in the house??

except for the one which connects your comp and phone in the same jack.

also u have an extension cord right? is the filter on the end of that extension or at the jackpoint itself? make sure that the filter is on the END of the extension so that the extension cord itself is plugged in2 the jack...

hmm i cant think of anything else that would cause the problem at the moment...

keep us posted

not sure about urs, but my friends internet (bell sympstico dsl) in teh manual says to put a filter on the phone line for every PHONE, and none for the dsl modem, if he connects the modem to a filter he cant connect.

yours may be different, but all i know is that his is set up this way (i helped him set it up when he got it) and has been working for almost 2 years...
