Hi All:

A friend of mine has a problem and I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has a workable idea. He just did a preview scan of his unallocated space (got a program from a friend who works security) and found, among other things, images from browser pages, jpgs, and other stuff he wouldn't want his wife to see - all legal - but it would cause him a lot of problems. He asked me if I knew how to mess this area up - and he has partition magic v 8.0 - but to be honest, I don't know how to do this. He is a really super guy, went to some 'legal' sites that he would have been best to avoid - and now with this preview program has found there are after images (?) and stuff in the unallocated space of his drive. Can anyone help with this? I know, a new hard drive would be the certain answer, and cut his fingers off would be another - but a reality answer would be ........

Thanks

but you can try restoration to overwrite the data, a nice small, free app
not sure if it will do on unallocated space though...

Are we talking about deleted files? I use necrofile. Keep in mind it takes awhile on large drives! But can reclaim lost space as well. Neat program, free too. B)

If you want to use partiion magic 8, right click the unallocated space and see if it allows you to delete, then secure delete the space.

If it doesnt create a partition on the unalocated space and the go to delete, then secure delete (or erase - same thing). it will overwrite the data in that space.

You can use a more robust piece of software like bcwipe or something else, that allows you to overwrite many times, but dont really need it for deleting porn, they are best used for business data.

look. first encrypt your pr0n and burn it to several CDs lol. then wipe it! lol id keep the pr0n, but encrypt it so that its virtually impossible to find out that it even is pr0n lol.

follow their advice for wipeage. recovery could use sumtin like file scavenger
