No its not at all. The number of shit downloads it has it at a all time high. Use a different network / p2p program if possible.

All my music files are of good quality....All the albums I share on it are 192 kbs or higher; CBR and VBR. I never download off of the fasttrack anymore, but I do share my files on the network, 24/7. So if you see me there( user nigel123K++@) You will be able to download without fear...

everyone says its dieing, and it wouldnt be if everyone would keep using it

sure there are lots of viruses, and lots of fakes, but if your a smart downloader you wont get any of that crap.

for music: download the files that only have like 3 or 4 users, but dont get it if its less than 128k bitrate...
for movies: download the 700mb ones, theyre rarely fake, and to make sure just wait till around 10mb is downloaded then use videolan or avipreview to make sure its the right movie. if not canel it.
for programs: usually i download the trial versions of programs then get a crack\serial from kazaa.
for games:download ISO's, ive never got a fake or corrupt one.

and always scan ur files for viruses before opening them, its that simple.

seems like a lot of work, but kazaa lite has a pretty good selection, and i find that it always downloads right away, no waiting like with BT, and you can usually get to your full download speed using kazaa lite, not like on BT where it only downloads at 0.1kb/s  (for me anyway)

I voted yes anyway, because i think it is gonna die...

street smarts

for games: ed2k,bt,mirc etc.
for OLDER music: kazaa
for NEWER music: soulseek and others...
for movies: depends some dvd rips you can get off kazaa really fast but with risk of corruption you can also get older cams other wise use the same as games
for software: some you can use for kazaa but most is same as games
for porn: pornza kazaa
for foreign music: i think you can use kazaa

this is NOT a help thread, this is just yes,no.too late.

who cares if it dies, there is plenty of better of places to get downloads.
even the creators of kl have said so.

If you want a serious poll on this then get it moved to the filesharing forum mate.

This is the lounge, don't get anoyed if people don't take things seriously. That's what the lounge is for. There are specific areas for everything else.

For me I rarely use kazaa probably months now. There is no question in my mind that it is the area being concentrated on by the authorities. It also seems to be the P2P for people who can't be bothered putting any effort in, so is insecure.

So I don't really know if it wil die as an entity, but it pactically has for me.

KL is still good for getting some rarer TV episodes that I want. But I don't use it for anything else.

As for it dying...it's a hard one to judge, it is defiently sick and the prognosis isn't looking good. :(

Programs come and go.
People come and go.

So what...Those of of us with similar interest will keep
file sharing alive somewhere.

Does it matter what its called or where it's at?
Enough of us will be around to figure it out. :)

Peace brotherdoobie

heh, maybe the commercial part of it goes away and leaves the k-lite n' resurrection users and whatnot on ur own fasttrack.

I figure it's mutating, where it'll end up, I can't say.
