Desktop Cleaning

does it help to keep ur desktop clean and with as little icons as possible? does that make ur comp go faster? and wat bout themes and styles? does turning it off make it go faster? cuz i noticed a lot of scrnshots of ppl's comps have their screens filled with icons. is that good or bad? :unsure: :unsure:

im not sure, but i've heard that icons on ur desktop cause loading time to increase, so therefore less icons is better? not sure thats just wat i heard.

I don't think that having alot of icons would make it go slower but the windows themes in XP can make it go slower.

Xp has a program called hide icons . I don't like all the clutter myself and don't belive short cuts slow anything down.
Edit: I think its called desk top clean up, sorry. It hides icon's you have not used in a certain time frame. :)
