Need Dvd Burning Help

I got some videos and is it possible to like burn them ona dvd and watch them on my TV.

I need to know how to burn them so i cna watch them on my dvd player.

To simplify things the procedure is:

1) convert them into MPEG2 using something like TMPGENC
2) Author them using something like DVD Author
3) Burn the VIDEO_TS folder create in the authoring process onto dvd r disk.
