I downloaded the movie I SPY and the sound is out of sync......was wondering if anyone else has this problem. Was also wondering how to fix it!!

I am running WinXP Pro, 512 mb rambus memory, Pentium4 1.4.....so i don't think my comp's capability is an issue. Please Help!!!!

Thanks, StEpS.

Is it encoded with Xvid?? If so it is probably a codec problem. I had this with all the first 4 or 5 Xvid movies I downloaded. Make sure you have a good codec pack like SLD or Kazaa L on your system. Although Xvid gives excellent quality pictures and it is only a video process, very often the audio/video is out of sync unless you have a good codec pack.

Thanks for the reply. I actually have tryed many codec packs and the best for me is the k-lite 1.7 that you mentioned, that is the one that i am currently using. I've tryed everything i could think of, even tryed different players......bsplayer, wmp, realone, ati multimedia, power dvd....still no good!! :(

Try SLD Codec pack - it may help.

SLD Codec pack 1.5 Pro Beta 6 (http://216.239.39.120/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://www.skynet.levillage.org/EN/downloadbetas-EN.htm&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dsld%2Bvideo%2Bcodec%2B1.4%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26sa%3DG)

I would recommend kazaa codec 2.01 over sdl but then again it's up to you!

:D Great news!! I've been there before, so I know how frustrating/annoying it is. I don't know what the magic ingredient those SLD guys use, but it always works!! I've had a fair bit of help here, so it's a pleasure to help someone else out. Enjoy your movie!! :D :D

Is that Kazaa as opposed too Kazaa L codec pack, which is officially up to version 1.7? It looks like 1.7 didn't help StEps. Whatever, as long as it does the job, that's the main thing. All I know is that SLD has been the final happy solution for quite a few fellow message boarders!
