Can just any old printer take photographic paper and print on it? or do you need a special printer?

cheers,

Hugo.

must have inkjet paper if on an inkjet. otherwise (laser) any option will work.

Glossy lookg good. options are: Gloss finished photo paper, glossy film.

Matte-finished lasts much longer. anything matte finished should do fine.

depends on wether u want looks or lastability.

to add on to atividia's post, if you get a photo cartridge (available for most printers, hp ones anyway) then the picture quality will be much better. they usually cost a little more than a color cartridge, and you just switch it with either the black cartridge or the color cartridge's carrier. (min mine its the black you replace it with, but it probably depends on your printer model)

Any printer will do - even the old one
the paper will get sucked in whichever the ink

Experiment - is the best solutions

you can put any paper you want in your machine-not too thick 200grams sounds heavy
