I rejoined the dark side after spotting SAVC 9.0.0.338 client at wh*r*d*wn. I was free from Symantec/Norton products for about 6 months.
Then somebody posted about Norton WinDoctor on it's own, ripped out of NU. Now I could use that. That wouldn't be bad.
Now here I am. I went to wh*r*d*wn & got SAVC. Very impressed so far. Scans my system faster much faster than I remember SAVC 7.xx doing.
Now I got a fn monkey on my back. :angry:

Zapjb. Can't you just run windocter from the Norton cd and not install? Or do you have to install to fix problem's? Hmm just wondering! :)

Ahhh PM NAV Pro that's truely bloatware. Switch to SAVC & Sygate, your sys will be much faster.

Update. Thought the net was slow the last day. Not. It was SAVC. I'll be cloning back my spare HDD soon. It's got Avast! before I switched to SAVC. Much faster. Jumping off the horse soon.

Except for WinDoctor. ;)

which is faster? SAVC or Avast? I personally use avast and think its great

My system runs faster on Avast! for sure. But SAVC scans my HDD in 8 minutes less than Avast!. But my nonresident AV BitDefender free is only 4 minutes slower than SAVC.

But SAVC just sucks my system resources while I&#39;m on the net. <_<
