hey all its been a long time

here is the story...
a long time ago i got a new case i was happy with the case
i switch all my stuff from the old case to the new one and messed up
my mobo ate my cpu. so some time had passed and i saved
my money and got a new comp like this...

vid- ati radeon 9800 xt
mobo- gigbyte ga-7n400 pro2 with the nforce 2 chipset
cpu- amd 3000 333 fsb- wanted the 400 fsb but it was out of stock
and didnt want to wait

ram,fans,dvd,cdrw....

anyway got the new mobo and it has onboard sound like all the others
but mine has a high pitch hum in the left speaker and when any sound
plays its really fuzzy and staticy the sound file that is

ive tried updating the drivers and that didnt work, thought it might be
a driver conflict it wasnt

i think its the mobo and that i might have to return it

does anyone else have any ideas on what might be going on?

Might be your mobo, give us a few bars so we can confirm it. :-"

ps, have you checked for bees?

try double clicking the little speaker icon in ur system tray, then muting mic if it is on. if that doesnt help then make sure the speaker plug is in good, and then if it still does it my last idea is to try plugging in headphones and play a song, so we'll know if its ur computer or ur speakers.
