do you mean that there is no network little icon in the task bar , down the bottom right of you screen

if so it could mean that you network card is not installed correctly

go to start / settings / control panel

double click on system icon

click on the hardware tab, and select device manager tab

look in the list for network adaptors

does the network card have a yellow ? on it

or do you have something in the list called simple communication device

if yes to one of the above you will need to install the drivers that came with your network card

if the above is not what you are asking plz give more info so we can help further

The network card is installed and working correctly, but we set up the conifguration for the internet and all but no icon showed up which is supposed to be in that folder with network configuration you know, like ex: lynyss link 10/100 network settings or something like that, and without the icon in that folder the internet setup cant be complete.

so if you go to start / settings / network connections ( double click on network connections a few times and the network connection window will open )

do you have a local area connection

it should say
local area connection
enabled
and what ever the name of you nic is
