Well then format with kill disk or a like program then try again.

I use a floppy to format and reinstall xp . I find a win98 boot disk works well run FDISK it's pretty exact, never had a problem.

This is like the old win98 file checker repacles missing system files. Only one problem you should run windows update after using . It sometimes places older files in your system. :)

I am saying if i run SFC SCANNOW everytime with windows will it boot up all the time and will it make sure that all system files are good and in tack? Also it asks sometimes to put in the win xp pro cd to get files by running this will it stop that and make it where the comp wont crash on restart or start-up again?

You shouldn't have to run scannow more than once . You have some other problem me thinks. But stick with it, search this board and keep posting someone will help. :)
