Tv Tuner / Laptop

i'll be buying a laptop soon, it has a tv out, and i'm looking into tv tuners too.

i know about WinTV Tuner USB, but does anyone know if it would work with an AMD Athlon processor, or only a Pentium processor?

tv-out means u can plug a wire from ur pc to ur tv and have it as a nother screen.

If a Pentium will run it then so will an AMD Athlon run it.

a tv tuner allows input i.e. TV to PC :rolleyes:

It should work fine with an athlon processor.

As mentioned TV out is a graphics card feature that allows you to hook your computer up to a TV instead of a monitor. Use of a TV card does not require you to have this. You just need a TV feed into the card (either from a standard aerial cable or cable box) and it'll work fine.

Get an ATI Wonder if you get a tv tuner. Mine works great.

Ive played my gamecube and ps2 on my pc. Pretty cool cause you can go to widescreen. But no sound cause I dont have a sound card. Maybe if I got an antenna adaptor thing instead of using the AV cable.
