Adsl Modem Does Not Work

Hi

One of my friend has an adsl connection. The internet connection has been working fine. But now when ever he starts the connection, after sometimes a popup appears with a counter. The counter counts for a minute and then the internet stops working. Other times, the internet connection does not work all together.

I believe he has got a virus. What do u guys think:? what could be the remedy

Yes it could be a Virus. So scan ur friends comp and anfter u scan his comp and if he still cant connot than call the the Internet Provider's Tech Support

when u say "scan", do u mean scan with anti-virus tools

I was also just thinking of installing mydoom patch from microsoft

also after searching for viruses, use spysweeper to search for spyware.
