Msn Plus Rant

grr, i intalled the latest version of msn plus yesterday.

when it asked me if iwanted to do acustom install i clicked no.

turns out theres spyware in it, and u have to select if u want it installed or not.

so i go the the forums flaming lilke a mo fo :01: and they say iys my fault.

grr, luckely i have spybot. thank god for spybot.

There's probably still some crap on there, I had the same problem and some of that stuff I could only delete in safe-mode after spybot and adaware had failed to pick them up.

Look in your Programs Folder for anything unusual... :ph34r:

hey cheesy, thx, but im sure iu got rid of it.

i think it put a trojan on my comp because my virus scanner picked up 2.

Not a problem :)

With regards to slsk you're gonna need to get a few more files, you need to rip some of your own albums. :P

i know dude, im working on it.

i got alot of classic stuff, but not alot of time because of school.

im going 2 start ripping stuff this weekend.

i shoulkd have about 4-5 albums more by then.

riht now i only have about 3.

top get rid of the spyware just uninstall msn plus. then reinstall it without installing the spyware. and since youve already tried to delete part of the spyware, ithkn youll have to install msn plus with teh spyware again, then uninstall it.

The adware is seperate and MSN plus will uninstall with or without it there. I know this for a fact. Uninstalling MSN plus will not remove all the adware, I know this for a fact after having to remove it all last saturday.

Perhaps in future when you choose to help a member of the board it might be prudent to know what you are talking about first? :) Not knowing what you are talking about could end up doing more damage to someone's set-up or at the very least just be a waste of their time. :)
