Sometimes when I play an audio file it makes a sound reminiscent of a badly scratched cd but instead of happening in intervals its constant. This is a wretched sound from hell that needs to be qualled. Help is appreciated.

p.s. I use windows XP and run Kazaa Lite and havnt downloaded any codecs if it makes any difference.
