E Z Firewall

just got this free from microsoft
1.........is this any good?
2.........why does this seem to slow down the computer?
3.........is there a way to find out the origin of the ports/comp ip addresses to veryify they are safe?

its shit mate , uninstall it , and get one of the following , and read some stuff on firewall and what they do ect

good firewalls
zone alarm
norton
outpost

and a few others , but look for tutorials on how to set them up and use them , as its the setup, if incorrect that will slow your comp surfin down

e z firewall i also got from microsoft, with my security update cd, and its just zonealarm firewall with a new name...so its good. but id still rather have the zonealarm name than az firewall...

No it's not. EZ firewall is crap. Ez antivirus is moderate.

Yeah, that's what I noticed when I installed it from the CD Microsoft provided. I quickly uninstalled it and installed ZoneAlarm Pro instead.
