I’ve followed this tutorial (http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/waterdrops/waterdrops.htm) for rain drops successfully but don’t know how to make them into blood drops? I’ve tried changing colours but it just makes new layers or creates solid backgrounds – How do I make the rain drops into blood?

I also tried googling for blood drop tutorials but couldn’t find any

Why not simply
make a new layer
bucket fill it red
with magic wand get contours of water drops
hold the contour selection
mark the red bucketed layer
select inverse
delete the red around the water drops
then opacity change - (at top of the layers toolbar)
lower opacity until it looks right

no?

search google for 'fosi' and get the 'Eye Candy 4000' and 'Xenofex' plugins - loads of good filters like 'drip' etc, saves time 'smudging'

saves alot of time and work :D
