they made like 17 of them didnt they?

Mad Max was good apart from the weekish 3rd part. Die hard is fucking great but LOTR's would have to take it becuase of the great battles in the 3rd part. altho die hard 3 is such a gr8 fucking film. back 2 da future is pritty good.

Star Wars ep 4-6 hands down

LOTR is good but it has some reeeaallly boring parts. The movies were too long.

Most of the others mentioned are not even in contention because of their 3rd part.

Back To The Future
Home Alone
Aliens (it's really a quadrilogy)
Scary Movie
Matrix
Terminator
Godfather

A perfect example of great films or trilogies is if you can just throw it on the tube and watch it again.

I loved Friday and can watch that again easily but can't say the same for the others.

I forgot about Lethal Weapon.

Loved that series especialy part 2 with the South Africans.

QT has said that he is thinking of making a third part where the black women that Teh bride kills in vol 1 with the knife throw, well her littlwe child would grow up to reek revenge on the revengee! Becuase Uma says if you eva want a fight i'll be waiting to her. He said that if he was to, he would film some of the scene's now so that uma is the right age and finnish filming in 15 years ;)

Uh...yeah I know but....it's not made so it's not a trilogy.

It would seem that Vivica's daughter would kill Uma and Uma's daughter would go after Vivica's.

agreed. Evil Dead 2 isn't even really a sequel. it's more of a remake that puts the first one to shame. personally i've always thought Army Of Darkness was the worst of the trilogy though... it's like a Bill & Ted movie tacked onto the Evil Dead series.

I liked the the third movie but it was such a shift from the second one (and first) in a way it was a bit cheesey really.

Mad Max 2 was best imo, that car chase at the end was weekend. The last two films had a real good look to them as well.
