I get nothing but a blank white page when I click on your link, Racer.

Maybe I need a better video card to see it....

Im not amazed til I see some real time action going on. Not just a video of a game. Im sure that video would look just as good on my system.

Theres no way that is "real time". There are no actions being performed. Its like the commercial your see for games that look awesome but the graphics when you are ACTUALLY PLAYING arent nearly as good.

Ati's next product release, for those who believe the hype about this one.

I think you're right about that video. What did you use to view it?

I used my PC and it performed great. I guess my graphics are as good as that new ATI product. ;)

Well its real time rendering like the other demos which are available on the ati site.
Link:
http://www.ati.com/developer/demos.html

This just shows what the card is capable off, And yes the movie will run great on almost any machine lol
But the demo which you see in the video wont ;)

If you own an x800 you can run that demo (The .exe) , you can download it from their site.

yes, it is NOT realtime, it is a video of the card playing the demo, the realtime demo can only be run on an x800 (i think) and will look many times better...and wont be played from windows media player  or whatever proggy u use.

Half Life 2 looked great anyway when the first preview videos came out - Then a considerable portion of the source code had to be rewritten, meaning that the engine that ran those videos would likely have a few changes to it.

My point is that what is seen at the start isn't always what the end product will be. It's a good clip but it's still wise to reserve judgement on it until a live demonstration is available in one way or another. :)

Having said that, ATI could do bring out a very powerful rival for nVidia. It's just a case of not believing the hype until it can be seen for real

I'll get my coat.
