Can anyone tell me why my traffic window constantly show 8 files being shared when I only have 5...I already double checked everything (ten times over) as well as uninstalling and reinstalling and still no luck. Could there be hidden files or something?:frusty:
Any suggestions? (I use CleanKMD 2.44)
Thanks!!

something to do with hidden files.
Nothing to worry about i think.(not sure)
Somebody here will probably be able to tell you everything about it.

you have hidden files in your shared folder
tools>folder options>view> here check the box for ?show hidden files?then uncheck the box that
says ?hide protected operating system files (recommended)
bottom line: its normall nothing to worry about

it also counts your playlist files. (*.kpl) and they're not shown on the total in the "my kazaa" view total.

I think u might be on to something here. I did have a playlist but I transfered it over to MY MUSIC FOLDER on my hard drive. The strangest thing about this though is that I had about 10-15 songs in the playlist, does each playlist count as one? Just a thought! <_<

well each playlist file would only count as 1 file
open your download folder with explorer and see if you have any .kpl files, i'm not sure but the version you have might or might not count "now playing" as one too. . .
if you want to see what youre sharing just open IE to http://127.0.0.1:1214/
only replace 1214 with the port you have kazaa configured to in "tools>options>firewall" and you will see what your shares.
BTW i think you should share MORE then a piddily 5 files
unless theyre new releases B)

If i enter your IP and your port will i see what you are sharing?

i had a similar problem, it could just be the folder...like if you use the My Documents folder theres a .db & .ini file you can only see in real DOS mode, 'Showing All Files' don't show em & you cant see em at all on 2k/xp but theyre there
theres also a few other windows folders that do this ;)

yes, IF you knew my IP and port, and IF i have browse shares enabled, or i'm running iMesh or older versions of kazaa that don't block browse by remote.
yeah you can even download from it, with IE, if the user has open slots.
hell i ran a mini website with kazaa as the server already

You were definitely right on the money my friend, my Nero File browser showed the additional files as hidden and I deleted them. They were files with the same ext. you mentioned above. Thanks a lot, appreciate the help! :)
