Ntl Internet Problem

is anyone having trouble connecting to the internet (ntl customers only), when they use IE, i can connect through mozilla but not IE

EDIT: its ok i've sorted it, my LAN settings were incorrect, problem resolved! :D

Yes that's what I had to do when I first joined NTL a year ago. I had to phone up the technical support, because I didn't realise it runs over a LAN and I had to tick that box in the internet options.

thats surprising sparkle, because i had to untick the box, the problem was that the box was ticked!!

yeah, i just couldn't remember whether the box was ticked or unticked. :)

Do you mean Proxy settings? If its ticked you will have problems if the proxy address is inaccessable or slow.

My friend had this problem, and i knew the reason why immediately. He connected to a server through a bad proxy thats why he's connection was very slow.
