Is problems with sound one of things that caused you to grow sick of XP?
Or is this a new problem unique to ME?

try double clicking the speaker icon at teh bottom left, then disable teh microphone...seems really simple, but on my old computer it gets really distorted when the mic is on.

if not then go to ur soundcards manufacturer (if its onboard then go to the motherboard manufacturer) and download the latest driver.

btw, why did u get sick of windows xp?

You may find your drivers at Driversguide.com (http://www.driversguide.com).

If you cannot identify your hardware use the Belarc Advisor (http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html)(free) to figure it out and go from there.

And Jesus H. Christ! Why on earth would you switch from XP to ME?

While XP is like a bloated fat lady, at least she is oh so much more stable than ME.

You've got to realize that ME was quickly put out by Microsoft to capitalize on the year 2000 phenomenon. Hell, it is basically the unfinished version of XP.

Anyways, good luck with it...

Windows ME isn't basically unfinished version of XP. ME is based on the Win 9X code. The last of the 9X line. Windows XP is based on Windows NT/2000. Not the same code at all.

Get a new keyboard; your return key seems inoperative and you only appear to have one punctuation key working.
