IZArc using the 7zip compression. Has more formats.

ZipGenius (http://www.zipgenius.it) and IZArc (http://www.izsoft.dir.bg/) are great. They support many formats and are both free. 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) has the best compression. Check out the compression ratio on the 7-zip site. BTW, 7-zip is also free.

I have both WinRAR and WinACE installed. They both handle many formats including each other's but they can't decompress files compressed with the other's latest version.

that's slightly un-true you walking carpet :shifty:

i would use IZArc, because its 7-zip but with a nice interface, but i'm too lazy to de-familiarise myself with WinRAR

I've always used WinRAR and haven't had any problems with it since I first got it a couple months back.

winrar is the most popular. 7zip compresses better

How can it be slightly untrue? It's either an accurate statement or not, nothing between.
I get both ACE and RAR compressed 0d stuff all the time and I often get an error message when using the 'wrong' one; the other program then always does the job fine.
