Award Bios Beep Codes

[SingaBoiy]

1 short beep - System booting sucessfully.
2 short beeps - CMOS setting error.
1 long - 1 short beeps - Memory Error.
1 long - 2 short beeps - VGA card or monitor connect problem
1 long - 3 short beeps - Keyboard Error
1 long - 9 short beeps - ROM Error
Long continuous beep - Memory not installed correctly.
Short continuous beep - Power supply has problem.

= Trouble Shooting =
Check the power supply - is it supplying power to the motherboard?

Next, make sure all components and properly installed/fixed.
Usual suspects: CPU, BIOS chip, memory chips, etc.

Next, check your components and user's manual: are all jumpers set
correctly?

Remove all cards except the video adapter to make sure no other cards
are causing the problem.

If this works, try to identify the card causing the problem.

If none of the above works, contact your dealer or FIC support.

Try reseating the memory (take it off and install it again).
If the error still occurs, replace the memory with known good chips.

If you hear fatal beeps, the motherboard needs repair/servicing.

If the error persists, check parts of the system relating to the
keyboard, e.g. try another keyboard, check to see if the system has a
keyboard fuse.
Try reseating the keyboard controller chip.
If the error still occurs, replace the keyboard chip.

Memory error on the video adapter.
Replace the video card or the memory on the video card.

Faulty BIOS chip.
Consult a distributor of Flash EPROM chips that can be used with the
motherboard.

pretty handy, but the beep codes differ per bios, so this guide only really helps a little amount of people...

I had to get rocks removed and shit..hurt soo bad...my head was draggin and diggin...helmets from now on lol ;)

EDIT: BTW, where my hair is gone...they didnt shave it there...when my head was draging the road ripped the hair off

then you probably dont ahve an internal computer speaker, or it isnt plugged into your motherboard. dont worry, if u have no problems then its not really needed until u do.

k ill chek the speaker out...but im pretty sure its connected cuz i uninstalled the drivers for sound and i heard beeps out of the computer wen some crtical sound came up and stuff..

so i duno

and one more thing....(lil off topic)

my temp sensor for MOBO is showing temps of 40C for the northibridge and its obviously underload usually its like 35-38 but its getting warm outside and im getting worried and my CPU temp now is like 49C

how many fans do you have in your system? if the only ones that you have are teh power supply and cpu fan, then I think you should start buying some more. one for the back as exhaust, and one at front for intake. and also clean up the wires so help airflow.

jus to tell u the case is open... and i have one case fan at the back blowing it out... and there arent any wires in the way of the north bridge and the temp right now for the NB is 41C underload :(

(my computer is alwayz underload because of Folding@Home) ;)

I was riding awhile back and had someone on the back. I told em to watch this....
we were on a dirt road and i starting going full speed towards a fence. Then I hit the wrong brake and it spun alittle and barrell rolled twice.

It was the funest ride ever back I got all fucke up.
