First and foremost, this is forum.
We are free to express ourselves and say what is on our minds about something.
But I say this because I dont want this thread to be hijacked by spammers, filled with flamers, and eventually get lock or visa versa. If you dont like the topic, please, dont say anything. Of course, you're free to say your opinion on the matter, but dont ruin this thread. (i.e. like the anime threads around here)

Now thats out the way, FF7: Advent Children will be revealed at E3 this Wednesday, and this is big for fans of the FF games.
Some new pics were released yesterday, which you can see here:
Translation Scan (http://www.yoxio.com/img/39193.jpg)
OR
BIG Individual Pics (http://www.adventchildren.net/ff7ac/media/screens.htm)

Good Advent Children Sites (that I know of):
Advent Children.net (http://www.adventchildren.net/)
FF7ac.net (http://ff7ac.net/)
7ac.net (http://www.7ac.net/)

As of now, I will wait till Wednesday to post the E3 video as soon as it is up, but until then, please feel free to discuss theories of the film and all things FF7-AC.
Enjoy.

I like this, will you be following this code for other people's threads from now on? Respect is a two street.

With regards to FF7 I'm going to be interested in getting my hands on this, should be good.

Are there any actual ingame shots?

And shouldn't this be in GameWorld? ;)

Here's a link from IMDB:

Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0385700/)

I have to admit I'm intrigued, the FF7 game was my favourite of the series and still playable to this day. Great storyline to it (for a computer game). Should be interesting.

I don't like the games. They have great cinemas but I hate turn based combat. It's sooooo geekish.(But I do like Star Wars KOTOR  )

I think a movie based on the actual games would be great though. It has to be better than that stinker of a movie that was previously released. ;) All glitter and no gold. <_<

If they want to make CGI actors that look real....why not use real actors.
But then again, they weren't quite real so....what's the point? It would have saved alot of money.

I liked episodes of Roughnecks: Starships Troopers wayyyyyyyyy better.

They wanted to use CGI to replace that turd of a movie "Final Fantasy:The Spirits Within".

Advent Children is the REAL FF movie, but I wont go into detail about that now.....

Plus, Square's movie production company (who made the FF:The Spirits Within and the Animatrix short "Final Flight of the Osiris") needed to make another film, or else the company is done for. So, the creator of the FF series had a idea, and this new FF movie was what he came up with.
Also, its in CG because it remains faithful to the CG cutscenes that made FF7 so popular.

Yes, it was expensive to make this film. A lot is riding on it, but it will be very successful, since anything Final Fantasy sells like hot cakes in Japan....

When it comes out US...who knows. Thats up to the promotional department to make it a success in the US...

All I know is that the subbed version will be out next month for download.....

If it flops like Spirits...that movie company is done for.

Most likely in the US...it will flop depending on what season it comes out and what other movies are out at the time.

It's going to need a great marketing campaign.

The first one flopped why won't this one?

Keep in mind, although you are a fan of the series, the American public is not.

I will see it....on DVD on DL but I probably won't see it at the theater and I bought that FF game that it takes off from.

haven't update myself on this but...from what i remember...

it's probs 10yrs after the incident at the northen crater in ff7...u noe when sephiroth gets owned :P. So definitely before the last thousands of years later where Red13 is the only one alive.

newayz ,heard sephiroth has a friend/nephew/brother/some dude he knows who wants to avange him...so he's going for cloud...but from the pics i see now spehiroth is alive..so that old old theory maybe wrong...

yehr, but imo, ff7 was t3h best ff of em all, worst ff i played so far? ffx-2
it got bored after 10hrs of gameplay (spent 60hrs on ffx)...too used to ff having to change different worlds on each sequel...lol

I have a torrent for a DVD-quality trailer (same trailer) it's just under 40 megs big but for those of us who have broadband the speeds of the torrent are good...

Unfortunately we are not allowed to post direct links to torrents so EDIT: see my post below :D You can't even send torrent files via PM's on this board cause of the filters...

The trailer is the same as Manny posted, this looks pvery good. :01:

Im going to take the link down.

I've watched it....its not DVD quality, so dont worry. Its just hi-res....but not perfect.

I'll have to wait until my sources come up with a DVD quality trailer....so hold on for a while.....

Manny Roscoe

Well, I promised a better quality trailer....so...here it is.

RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS. (http://www.gknetworks.net/advent/e3trailer1.avi)

Its not my server, so I dont know how long it'll be up....so download it while you can.

Since there wasnt much info about the plot at E3, I guess there isnt much to talk about.

The only thing we know is that Tifa and Vincent are back.....

Other than that, I'll leave this thread alone for awhile.....until the movie is ready for download and we see it, we as a community will discuss it then.

Remember, the movie will be out next month.
