Uploads Slowing My Downlods

Can someone explain to a Kazaa newby does reducing the number of uploads effect my downloading speed? :helpsmile:

Erm...no you don't

Yes, high uploads can affect downloads and vice versa. Generally limiting uploads to 80% of your available upload bandwidth should be fine

Oop's, forgot to mention I'm on NTL Cable 600kbs downloading AVI films

your downloads won't be affected providing you don't use all your upload bandwith

this is because you need some upload bandwidth to process your download requests

Find out what your download speed is and set KL to 80%.

All you need to do is go into the options and set the upload bandwidth to 80% of your real bandwidth, and then it should be OK. ;) I hope you can do this, as the filesharing community depends on sharing.
