How is that in anyway bizzare? It just makes for good visual imagery, as dawn breaks night is ended...a darkness yielding to light kind of thing. :01:

How can you be bored? You have the whole inrenet at your disposal ffs. Learn something new, download some porn or, like Manny says, check out E3. :01: Or you could try something non-computer related but I'm no big expert on what that involves...

Geez Louise, kids these days...

That would be because orcs dislike sunlight, so dawn is a tactically suitable time for the men to attack. You'll note that the charge of the Rohirrim at Helm's Deep is timed so that the sun rises just as the men near the Orc ranks, so they all shy away from the light and lower their pikes just in time for the horses to break through their lines.

Well actually the riders of Rohan didn't necessiarly arrive @ dawn to attack Minas Tirith, remember when Sam and Frodo arrived were on the path to Shelob's lair Frodo says that it's around noon and the sun can't be seen. The darkness was artificially created to give Sauron's army an advantage as the Rohirrim came his spell weakened.

sauron's army, aka orcs, hate sunlight. that's y their "home base" is shaded from sun light. it's a reoccuring theme in the book. happens in all 3 books.
