View Full Version : I Locked Myself Out

I was in a bit of a hurry this morning and I forgot to take my keys with me. :(
I can't reach Marc, I don't know anyone around here so that means I'll just have to be outside until 7 or 8 this evening :(
I'm cold :(

It really isn't that funny, I'm just wearing a really thin leather jacket. Sure it looks great, but it isn't exactly warm :(

He's not at work, he's at the hospital with his son, and it's all a bit complicated, but the short story is that I can't call there.

If you are in a hurry and you can afford it, you could always throw a rock through teh window, wrap a sweater around yer arm and open the window from the inside.

Assuming you live in your own house, and on the bottom floor, of course.

D'oh, SnnY didn't read all the posts! >_<

Erm, can't you help her Rat Faced? Lend her a tenner or something? Or call a locksmith.

Methinks in future you should leave spare key with family/friends.

Sorry to hear you are out in the cold though. :(

Awfully sorry for your plight, Skweeks, and sad you won't get this 'til after your problem is solved, but I felt compelled to point out that an American library would probably give you a cot, a hot, and offer you an invite to set up long-term housekeeping.

Even with Bushes budget cuts. ;)

Oh look, the library IS open in the afternoon after all. They should change that in their leaflets <_<

Anyway, I don't know anyone else around here so I can't go anywhere :( And the boab knows I locked myself out but he never invited me over to his place
Oh well, I'm gonna let RF call the hospital because for complicated reasons I cannot call there myself
If he can't reach Marc I'm just gonna go down to the police station and as where I can find a locksmith somewhere around here.
Funnily enough, this library doesn't have a phonebook

That would be even better...I could keep that in this outside cupboard we have. Only problem is that the key to that is kept on a little hook inside the house <_<

I wonder why on earth Marc has a mobile if he never turns it on :frusty:

edit: yes Liam...he will. That is if one of the nurses doesn't decide to run into Marc's son's room yelling that his dad's girlfriend forgot her key...In that that case I'm gonna be dead.
I just hope RF can get a hold of him in the hospital, otherwise I'll have to wait another 4 hours, or, if I'm unlucky, another 12 till Marc goes to work...

You could have a key gilded or something and wear it in a chain on your neck all the time.

Poor Skweeks..... :(

I guess the 'son' has not been introduced to the idea of dads new girlfriend yet...hence you being unable to call him. Anyway, last I heard, mobiles are supposed to be turned off in hospitals. I suggest you send him a text for when he comes out...not much help, but it might stop him from going straight to work.

I locked myself out a few weeks ago...

I had gone out to start the car (and locked it). Oh no!

I went back to house door and realized that it was locked too. I broke in the back of the house to find that I didn't even have a spare key to the car in the house (remember its running). I made myself a slimjim (http://www.tannersstorefront.com/images/slimjim.gif) from a piece of metal molding and got the car door open about 20 minutes later.

Now at least I have hidden extra keys.

Hehehe.

I did indeed get in at 5PM (I noticed I locked myself out at 10AM). I was lucky because Marc had to pick up his youngest son from school and checked his mobile. And yes, the reason I could not call the hospital is because the kids don't know about me yet. It's not exactly the best time now...

Thanks for all the support though <_<
