Usb Thingy ..... Me Mad

hey its weird i've got 4 USB sockets 2 in the back and 2 in the front and windows only detects 2 at a time .. like at the moment i've got a mouse and keyboard plugged at the front and i want my printer and camera at the back but everytime i try to connect it with the mouse and keyboard already plugged in it says cannot regonize but..... if i unplugg say the mouse and plug in the printer at the front it would work and vica versa

if that made sense please help me
and i've already considered gettting a USB hub but i dont wanna if i could UNPLUG the 2 usb sockets

BIOS may only have 2 USB ports set?

on some computers that have the usb ports in the front and the back, the ports on the front are just an extension of the ones in the back so you would only actually have two usb ports, that may be your case, just get you a usb hub.

What does it tell you when you click on them ? Enabled? Working properly? :)

Under H.I.D . You have 6 listed what the hell are they? I only have 2 both for my game controler.

Trajillo, I have usb printer, camera , game pad all connected. With one free. I have a usb mouse connected thru a usb to ps2 connecter like this .

lol yer i saw one of those at school and i said to myself " hey i need one of those " and it was right there in front of me and i was gunna take it but i wouldn't want anythnig our computer admin touches... :unsure: he's a turd

Looks like you've got at least 4 usb ports.

Sometimes they put two on the mobo (in other words at the back), with pin headers to move them to the front, and another set of pin headers for the other two ports which you can put either at the front or the back. If that's the case your front ports may be connected to the wrong pin headers.

What mobo do you have? Have a look in the mobo manual if you've got one to see if there is another set of pin headers.

mine has 7 HID devices :P

1 for mouse, 6 for keyboard (it has a lot of extra features)
