If you mean to take them Vocals out of the mp3,
its not possible.

Atleast, It's not possible in any Good Quality way.

Yep. It's what Guitar-Slinger said. You can't take out vocals from songs without ruining the song somewhat. It would be easier to search for the instrumental version on a filesharing network or make your own.

Theres certain programs that can analyze the frequency of the file and can somewhat take out the vocals. other instuments will get fucked up though because their sound is at the same freq as the vocals.

The b-sides on records somtimes come with instumenteal. also they take a part of the song with no lyrics and loop it.

Actually, I think learning some basics on music theory could help,
you could recreate the tune with Apps like Fruity Loops
if you knoéw something about chords and melody, well maybe you do, i dont really know. :)

If i want to do a cover song from scracth, i'd DL a midi file, import it on
the Dubase SX and work from there.

It can be a lot of work but also it can be fun too, the outcome. :)

I've done some covers just to learn to use the software, is kinda easier to learn
when you know how it suppose to sound like in the end. (But it never does, ha ha...)
