View Full Version : My New Job

Alright, I just started working in this hotel. Bar tending and cleaning rooms (yes, I know that is a strange combination).

Anyway, I started there on sunday and they started explaining what I needed to do in the bathrooms. I was appalled when I saw the following things:

- The cleaning ladies do not use toilet brushes, they use a wet cloth to clean the toilets. Yes, that includes the actual inside as well, no matter what is in there

-They use a dirty towel to clean the glasses with

-They first use that towel to dry off the toilet, the sink and the bathtub.

-They often use this towel in several different rooms.

-None of them cleans their hands before tea or lunch.

My point is...I wouldn't use the glasses or the cups provided in hotel rooms.

Yours sincerely,
S. Kweeky

PS: They also don't want to give me a letter stating that I work there ( I need that for the embassy). They said they don't do letters

Legally they have to give you a written statement Re: Terms & Conditions of Employment, so just use that ;)

Hate to tell you this Skweeks but that ain't new news :(

I know several home help people who clean the toilet , hand basin, shower, bath, kitchen all with the same cloth.

And RF is right, if they refuse to give you stuff like that then there's something not quite right about their setup :)

Congrats on new job tho :)

;) Most Hotel /Motels have Wraped Cups and Plates. So they have not been touched with the same rag that they cleaned the toilet with lets say.

And I never stay in any of them Places anyways. Its either in the car or Camping if I am on the Road.Or a Truck Stop to take a shower every now and then. :D

:P You working at a Crack House. :P
