well atleast now it relates to hardware :D uhh how are you reading that temp? is it in bios or a program like mbm or something. could be reading either the wrong sensor or it may be faulty. what are your surface temps?

The most viable route for proper 64 bit right now is Linux, SuSe is supposed to be good, I heard Mandrake 64 (I think) is crap though.
Since you can recompile things in 64 bit for Linux it makes sense to use it.
