Can anyone reccommend me a good (preferably free) recovery tool to get back files i deleted?
I allready tried one a while ago but all the files it retrieved were kind of useless.
It recovered a whole bunch of files going back to 2001 but not one filename sounded familiar or was an actual image, audio or video file <_< .So the one i've used wasn't really good i think.
Thanks

Did you try Restoration? (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html)

i think that's the one i tried because the screenshot looks kinda familiar.
But then again, they all might look the same :smilie4:
I'll download it anyway and see if i have more luck in retrieving files this time.
In the mean time any other recovery tools are still welcome :)

system restore won't be much good.
It's a couple of .avi files i need to get back and i don't see it in that list :frusty:
Anyway,i tried Restoration but that didn't find them
Looks like i lost them :(

This is the one I use...
http://www.file-recovery.net/
But no program is going to be able to fully recover files you deleted that long ago. Eventually too much of the data is destroyed.

Could give it a go with file-recovery.
The files weren't deleted that long ago.
Last time I saw them was 2-3 weeks ago
'Restoration' came up with nothing eventhough it was able to recover avi files of over a year old :frusty:
The files i want back weren't corrupted last time i checked them if that could be a reason why they didn't show up in the recovery search, and i'm pretty sure i didn't misplace them.
