My Clock Has Sometimes Reset

as stated, but my bios is correct. this problem has happened 2 times. when the year is wrong on the comp, then some programs dont work. has anyone experienced a similar situation? I use XP pro. the day and time is correct, just the year is at 9999. I have noticed it happen when i log into anonx and let the comp alone for several hours (while at work). any ideas?

hmmm ive believe ive seen in this forum before but sometimes its caused by a virus

probably a dead battery. does the time also change in teh bios? or just windows? changing teh battery is worth a try...
