I voted for the Pistons

Its time for someone from the Eastern Conference to win, and I like to root for the underdog :01:

The series is tied now at 1-1.I didn't think that it would be this hard for the lakers to beat the pistons but i guess not.The lakers only won the last game casue koby scored that lucky 3 point shot that made them go to overtime.O well i just hope that the lakers pull this series off.

Busyman I do not know what to say.The Pistons could be up three Games to none if not for that three by kobe the other night.

The Pistons are looking too good right now.Malone is hurt. And my boy Prince is doing an excellent job.

I have always said the Lakers will take it in six Games.Who knows man.Maybe the Pistons will take it in six.

Unlike Philadelphia (I know someone brought this up before everything the hell was deleted  ) Detroit actually has a complete team. LAL isn't ready for this, and that's why they are going to lose.

It would have been a sweep had it not been for that fluke of a shot by Kobe in Game 2 to send it to overtime. <_<

;) Ohhh. And to comment on what Todd has said. You have Malone in there as healthy as he was in the Playoffs prior to the Finals. And we are talking a totally different story.

I will say it again. He is the best Forward in the History of this Game. And some of us like the fact he Plays dirty. :P

AMEN!!!! Finally someone that agrees with me. I've been waiting for someone on the board to say Karl Malone DOESN'T deserve a ring. CC I love you

I've always said Karl Malone doesn't deserve a ring. 19 years in a professional league and he still hasn't learned how to be a proffessional. Just look at how he poked that one fan in the face. Sure the fan may have had it coming, but Malone should be used to heckling fans by now, shouldn't he. I have always said the Pistons would win the championship, waaaay back before the season started. Waaaay back before last season ended, simply because I am from Detroit and that's my squad. But it wasn't until they got Sheed that I really started to believe it. On another board of which I am a member (though a lot higher ranking) I have been predicting these matches and have been right 75% of the time. My only loss being the miracle shot by Kobe in Game 2, other than that, my prediction of a sweep by Detroit would have 100%. Oh yeah, Pistons win Game 5 by 7. 91-84; Shaq and Kobe finally fight in public. Malone cries and takes the mic, asking Larry Brown if he can join the Pistons next year to get a ring.

if your playing 19 years as a pro, and stay that fit... sorry but you're a damn fine pro!

My thoughts on Malone, great player but he just misses the X factor. That's why he never won a ring in his awesome carreer. He made mistakes in crunchtime... like the time he lost the ball in the last few secs of a game to MJ where they finally could have beaten the Bulls. MJ took it, scored and gained another ring. That's the difference between being good and being THE BEST.

But from me, nothing then respect for his carreer. The Mailman will be missed when he too stops playing the Game. :)

Laker are down by 10 at halftime.

The largest halftime lead in these finals.

;) It was not us jumping on a band wagon like most have said.

What we as Sports fans have to do is look at the regular season and look at who the Teams played in the Playoffs. And that is what we did when picking in the Poll.

The West is still the best.

This will go down as one of the biggest upsets ever in NBA Finals.

Now as I recall at the beginning of these Finals I had a Post where I said I had mixed feeling for the Pistons. My boy Prince from Kentucky is on there and Rasheed Wallace one of the Kentucky killers of 1995 were also.

I still do not understand you People that come from these States that have Pro Teams and do not go for them.

Some of us have never known what it is like to have a Professional Team.....in anything. :(

:) If you are from Detroit congratulations. It has been 14 Years since you were here last.Party hard becasuse you know it does not happen often.

Being from Louisiana I would be more than happy to donate the New Orleans Saints to you if you would like. They’ve been here forever and I would jump for joy if that sorry excuse for a football team left the state. That being said I’ll be right in front of the TV during football season watching every game. Even though they stink every year I still watch all the games :frusty:
