According to rookiecrd1 (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=113743)`s post Rip The Jacker (http://filesharingtalk.com/index.php?showuser=2982) “basically went nuts and moved almost all the topics to the trash folder”. The Admin currently has no idea why he does this other then he went nuts. I have my theories on why he would do what he did.
1. He actually went crazy just snap that day
2. He got in trouble with the law and was erasing evidence
3.Was under the influence of drugs/Alcohol or other illicit substance
4. He did not do it. Account was hacked into
5. It was a big accident.

How can you know about his IP? His IP may be logged when he logs in, but only shown (easily) when he posts, and AFAIK he didn't post anything, did he? :unsure:

Yes - and the IP were logged in the mod files for doing stuff (such as trashing 40k threads)

basically here what I think
I think he was simply board wanted to do something funny to cause some drama with the board didn't realize that mods get logged for the admin to see and did it to be funny.

his account wrecked this place - either it was him or it was hacked (and managed to get his IP on in it) so it had to get blocked - but teh mods have him on aim/msn and he's audi 5g's

The chaos would be terrible, spammers trying to spam their post count back up, people arguing over who should make the replacement pinned topics (apparently this is seen as some sort of prize).
But, christ, it was bad enough to lose 20 days worth of people's posts...all of it? All of it? No thanks...some of us enjoy reading back on a good thread.

Well there's someone showing off team logs and stuff, he was also telling he would pull a stunt on us, so i guess you have to watch in that direction, the guy always claimed he loved this place. Well so much that he would spoil the fun of a few hundred people ;) IMO he's just a big Ashole. Most of you lads have seen him post about this on different forums so i guess you all know who i mean. Probably he pulled a trick. But if Jack was really involved i don't know for sure.

Why dont you just come out and and name the guy JJ? Most of us know who you are talking about anyways.
I would like to add that given the issues you had with the person you describe, you really should'nt be pointing he finger in that direction. It is a totally unfounded (and prehaps biased) accusation and will do no good at all.
But back to the topic at hand; I would like to hear from RTJ to find out the other side of the story.

Actually if RTJ's computer was hacked rather than merely his account getting cracked then it is quite possible that his IP was used to do the bad stuff - even if he wasn't at the keyboard. I mean a lot of us leave the PC on 24/7, right?
There is a lot of clever software which would enable some malevolent person to operate RTJ's PC remotely and delete threads. Especially if the software was put there by someone RTJ trusted...

I say this genuinely.
I will have to take your word for that, as the whole sordid area is a mystery to me.
People seem to think that doing things like that make them clever. To me it makes them a prick who is violating someone else's rights and they are scum.

My theory is this...
It was round about this time last year that the board went down indefinitely.
We were all consigned to a pergatorial chalk and slate kinda interaction.
We picked up a lot of damn good members on the way.
Correct me if I'm wrong (another extraneous sentiment) but didn't people like Snny and WC pick up at the temp phorum?
So it was an attempt by Krackhead to conscript some new and diverse talent to the board.
Either that or he's went to La-La Land.

2. Remove his mod/admin powers and unban his account.
I understand why rookie banned his account at first. He wanted to curb unauthorized/crazy assed access.
Now though we need to find out what happened.
I liked RTJ btw. He's one of very few mods that were cool and logical.

Alright, first of all, its me, Rip The Jacker, I've had the account "KrackHead2k" registered all along, in case someone tried to use it.
I've been gone completely for the past few days, working on my high school finals, June 5th was my birthday, we celebrated on Thurs. the 10th. I've been busy.
This all happened so fast, I'm a bit confused my self. I came back only to see that I've been banned. Well, Brian says I went nuts and threw a ton of threads into the trash...
I honestly can't believe you guys would think I would do something like that... I would never do anything to harm the board...
Well apparently someone has been using my account to cause trouble... and I was banned, not even fired, but banned for it. I hope things get fixed as soon as possible, I can't even PM Brian due to the lack of posts.

Actually, you'll find that very few people believe it's you :)
However, the RTJ account was apparantly used for this. I believe the team did the action on your account rather than you directly (if this isn't the case, why haven't they banned the Krackhead2k account as well? ;))
We all would like to get this sorted out, but as the culprit doesn't have the balls to admit to what they've done all we can do is wait for the FST team to gather the information and for the rest of us to speculate what happened :(

Folk can use that address to try to gain access to the persons PC.

HaXor released the MODs IP's and any member's IP that was discussed in Team Chat..
eg: Clarifications where more than one member has the same IP etc..
So people like EDITED off the Top of my head, all have their IPs in the open too.
The IP by itself is nothing, however when linked with a date/time, it can conceivable get us in a little trouble with our ISP's, if for exqample, we had posted a verified that day or something..
Not enough to convict, but definatly enough to raise suspicion and get nasty emails from them saying "Stop it"....

Removed a small list of names, as i'd then be guilty of letting people know where to get their IPs, which is a little hypocritical of me.

What did I lose exactly.
A discussion with a half wit who doesn't realize that to openly spread other people's ips on the interweb is not a very nice thing to do.
The fact that you failed to see the point, from the start only proves you to be obtuse, or actually stupid.
Whether people can get ips is not the point, it never was. My phone number is in the phone book. However if I wanted it to be ex-directory I would not expect people to publish it. I would be seriously pissed off if they did.
He has made other people's ips readily available to anyone who wants them. If people send bots out looking for ips to exploit that means that people want real ips.
He has posted a feckin list of them for hackers to try to exploit. What if some of the people listed have not taken precautions. They have doors open for the hackers to get in, but only because he gave them the addresses to look at in the first place.
Now everyone here has to double check their security, including looking for trojans and worms on their systems, because the list has been out for a wee while now.
Some people might not know how to do that properly and they are fucked, do you see how that is a bad thing.

1) He really was away for a few weeks.
2) His last few posts were nothing out of the ordinary. No confrontations or anything to justify what happened.
