Put it here cause I thaught i whould get more help here.

Ok the drivers that come with XP do not support Open Gl and the new drivers off of ATI's website do. But when i try to update the drivers it says device not compatible, so i uzip the files and update manually, it works but when i try to play a game such as mohaa or jedi outcast it says failed to load open Gl subsystem. What is wrong here? Dont give me crap like get a new video card, because i dont care.

Anyone now what the problem is? I tried driver cleaner and it didnt work.

You have the driver that come with xp, and if you try to run a game such as mohaa or jedi outcast it wont be able to load.

that could be because of the shittiness of the card, not the drivers
it is quite possibly one of the worst cards i've ever used...

Tormentor, why won't u just upgrade the card. It is an utter POS, and really needs an updating, Don't be so stubborn, go for an MX440. you can find one for liek 40 bucks, maybe 30 or even 20 if u look hard enough. It will run circles around that shitty rage 128 pro <_<

edit: PNY Geforce MX 440 64mb (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=161766&Sku=P56-2732&CatId=1087) 40 bucks, (plus shipping, $16) but this is just to show you how cheap u can get them for...

it is probably not the drivers, chances are the card itself is not capable of running the game

because they don't support it anymore, they never made XP drivers for it becasue it stopped being supported long before XP came out...i think...

that doesn't mean they build teh card, they just build the chip and sell it to other companies to make their own video cards. hence the "powered by ati" and "built by ati" labels...

You confusing me, ATI said the problem was that the card wasnt "Built by ATI" only "Powered by ATI". I checked all there partner websites and found out my card bast built by sapphre. So i installed the drivers they had there and GUESS WHAT? They worked. Now when I play outcast and mohaa it actually lets me play them.

Ya neiter did I, but according to the facts and ATI's website their drivers only work on built by ati cards. Fuckin idiots could have just made the drivers work for all cards. Actually I gues its the manufacturesd fault.

No the problem was definetlly with the drivers, wouldnt let me install the ones off ati's site, so i filled out that form thingy rossco pointed out, then it said powered by ati cards need diffrent drivers, from the actuall maunfacurer, so after alot of searching i found out this card was built by sapphire. So i went to there site and went to there drivers section and downoaded there drivers for there rage 128 pro and it let me install them fine and now i can play outcast and mohaa fine.
