On Startup I get a dialog box with header "RUNDLL"

The message "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll
The spcified module could not be found."

[OK]

What does this pertain to and how do I repair it so it doesnt popup up
on Startup anymore?

I have Windows XP Pro.

Thanks

download hijack this here (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip).

unzip into it's own folder-- scan and save a log. copy and paste the contents here.

don't remove anything without proper advice.

good luck.

bridge.dll is a leftover from a spyware/adware program.

you probably got rid of some of it using adaware, spybot, or whatever.

download the program--> click on "here" in my first post, then scan and save a log.

the log will open automatically in notepad. copy and paste the contents in a reply to this thread.

Run a registry cleaner.
It's a leftover run key in the registry for bridge.dll that has already been removed, as dopey said.

if you have a problem with this showing up, hijack this can safely remove the run key.

however, i would like to see the log before making any fixes so go ahead and post it.

ok.

rescan with hijack this and check the following:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RunDLL] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\bridge.dll",Load

O16 - DPF: {FF65677A-8977-48CA-916A-DFF81B037DF3} (WMService Class) - http://download.overpro.com/WildApp.cab

this is optional, but not needed for photoshop to work. takes resources at every boot.
O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Gamma Loader.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration\Adobe Gamma Loader.exe

close all browser windows and hit fix checked.

reboot, and the popup should be gone. :)
