The only one I can think of is "Shawshank Redemption." It was filmed at a local prison(The Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio) that is now closed and it serves as a haunted house during the halloween season. And my pop's friend knows the cop that actually caught hannibal lecter(spell?) around here. Not really a movie but something cool.

Double Jeapordy (Not sure of spelling) only the beginning I think.

Reigndeer Games. (The Entire Movie Filmed in the City and outside of City Limits.)

Dream Catcher (Most did not like this movie. I did for some strange reason.)

That's about all for my city.

At the beginning of the year they were filming the new Bond movie over here in The Bahamas. The trailers were constantly on the move and I think that they shot a few scenes near my college. Seeing as it is a Bond movie of course the entire movie wasn't shot here though.

Can't remember their names right now but I think 1 or 2 other Bond movies were also filmed here as well.

The first Jaws was also filmed here.

That's all that I can remember right now. :D

I live in Fargo ND, I can tell you what WASN'T filmed here.

FARGO!!!!! Not Filmed in Fargo, Most of the Movie doesn't take place in Fargo, and...AND...WE DON'T TALK LIKE THAT!!!!! If you wanna hear people talk like that you gotta go to Minnasota...and even there it is pretty rare. Just a few small towns.

Hawaii sucks ass, unless you're rich (that goes for most places in this world,) sure it's always summer here, and you can get really good weed, but they hate white people here, and there is nowhere to go but the beach, and I now have sand permanently implanted in my ass crack . My advice to anyone who wants to come here is: dont...unless you're rich .

Oh and one of the real world shows was shot here, the house is up in north shore, worth at least 6 million dollars, sonsa bitches.

I have worked on Molokai: The Story of Father Damien, 50 First Dates (while I was working on it it was called 50 first kisses (i thought that was a better name))and tears of the sun. Im just a PA who they sometimes hire for 2nd unit or when they really really need people. So im not really a part of the film industry in hawaii.

btw, I got this list from http://www.imdb.com/LocationTree

About 30 mins from where I live is the film set where the spaghetti westerns were made. Fistful of Dollars, a Few Dollars More etc.
Now it is very much a going concern and more films are being made here.
In the last 2 years we have had The Reckoning with William Defoe,
All the Kings Men, Blueberry with Ernest Borgnine and Eddie Izzard. Jericho Mansions with James Caan and recently a French production called Lucky Luke and the Dalton Brothers.
I sometimes work there as an extra and its can be very interesting but also boring as there are many hours hanging about doing nothing but at least we are getting paid and fed.
On the last one -Lucky Luke- we were there for 13 hours and actually did about 1 minutes worth of film. Can see where all the money goes!! Its all good fun though because half of my small Spanish village seems to get involved and its like a party all day.

Passionada was filmed in New Bedford, Mass... but it stunk and so does Mass. im moving to upsate new york in a couple weeks wish me luck :-D
I live in upstate ny, and it sucks..

The only movies that were filmed around here that I know of (not counting Niagra Falls or NYC), were Sleepaway Camp, The Time Machine, and Seabiscut. Thats all I can think of.

A lot of them were only partly filmed in Michigan as I had noted (please see within the parenthesis) above.

There are not that many movies made today in one location.

As for within the city limits of the town I live in, probably nothing as the size of my city is as small as they come and still have their own police and fire services.

Nothing that I can think of...though Dartmoor is quite near to me I suppose a fair share of films have been filmed in part up there.

none i know of.

my mate (bout 8 miles away) lives on the same street as the church/WMC, whatever it is on Brassed Off and my dads old work van was in it too.

living in west yorkshire i'm within prolly 25 miles of loads of critically acclaimed yet not very good working class, distinctly yorkshire films.
