Yeeah, Metal Slug rulezz the side scrolling games :D

NeoRageX is the best NeoGeo emulator. And you'll need a NeoGeo emulator, since Metal Slug is a NeoGeo game.Btw, Metals Slug 2 is the best in my opinion, but MS 3 and MS 4 are great too.

Visit NGemu (http://www.ngemu.com) for more infos about emulators (NeoRage) and roms (games).

:cool2:

EDIT: Visit this site (http://www.geocities.com/marcoandtarma/index2.htm) if you want more infos on the Metal Slug series.
You can download the any of the Metal Slug games there too.

i was thinking more like computer games. emulators/roms aren't worth the hassle to me when just plain computer games are better. u should check out Watkins. www.clickteam.com u can find a download link for it there. its freeware and its pretty fun to. thx for the attempts tho..

you gotta be kidding.

PC does not have better side-scrolling platform/shooter/fighter games than consoles. it does not. end of story.

I was thinking the same thing. If you like side-scrollers, get a NES, SNES, or GBA (or an emulator) and play Marioworld, Yoshi's Island, Donkey Kong Country, etc.

try gish...you can find it at suprnova.org....get the one that comes with crack and patches...its a really fun sidescroller that features a ball of tar called gish, it has really cool physics (i'm really pimpin' this game recently...it's fun.) download demo: http://download.com.com/3001-7435-10290398.html

a cool flash "sidescroller" (sortof) is madness interactive, its not really like a sidescroller, you play a ragdoll of some sort, and it has a shitload of guns and people blow up and if you have not played it you should:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/118826
you can download it (which is the better option, the mouse is awkward on the 'net) but I cant find the link.

metal slug is pretty bad-assed too though, they have a flash version at www.2flashgames.com

have any of you guys ever played MUGEN? the fight-game engine? I used to have it a couple years back, I forget the sites...it used to be a blast, I had almost 300 different chars from just about every fighter game I played as a kid :D. I think it's still around, most of the fanbase is portugese for some reason . If anyone finds it they should look into it, I remember it being a whole ass load of fun, I even made a bunch of my own weird little chars.

ahh here we are http://www.mugenation.com/index.php ...thats an Italian site...I can navigate thru the portugese ones because I speak spanish (very similar languages ) but Italian is a little bit too different to read...I would find a translator but i'm gonna go to sleep, if you like fighting games (2d fighting games) you should DEFINETLY look into MUGEN, it's really fun and extremely customizable.
