Properties Of Folders Taking Too Long....

Recently my pc now takes (approximately) 31 seconds to load up the properties on any folder (just folders though as ther files and drives do not have the same problem even when i select large selections of them).
Hijackthis did not find anything...
...neither did spybot.


As i am confused and have no idea (other than longsighted ideas like "registery trouble" ...
Do you know what this could be..?

how big are the folders which you right click on and take 30 seconds to load?

have you recently installed any new software on the pc?

this should be taken into account, find out and post back, also try defraging you drive(s) using O & O defrag
