Whats Going On?

Im gettin a new computer in 2 weeks, becuz this one is nearly 5 years old and only came with 10gigz. Im gettin an 160gig. one in 2 weeks. Well anyways, my computer currently has 1.5 gigz left, and i was burning this CD on Winamp (which was a mistake ) The CD was burned all wrong, and wouldnt play. The computer started to get really slow. I clicked on my computer and highlighted the "C" drive only to see that i have 400mb left. What the heck happened?? I did not download anything for it too drop down like that, i was just burnin a CD. I right clicked on Internet Explorer to delete temporary internet files, but it didnt do nothin. What can i do?

empty recycle bin, disable system restore, many different things u could do ;)

Running the program Window washer (http://www.webroot.com) is a good start :)

Ok, your talking Megabytes and Gigabytes. Leave the "z" out, it confuses us :unsure:

Now, do a search for files bigger than 30 MB.
One of those is probably a temp file from WinAmp, and delete it. :01:

Empty all your Temp folders. Don't worry about deleting anything important cos important stuff isn't stored there unless the program that made it is running, in which case Windows won't let you delete it.
Temp folders can be found in your Windows folder, sometimes one in the root of C:&#092; and if you&#39;re using XP with multiple logins, one in each user folder at C:&#092;Documents and Settings&#092;<username>&#092;Local Settings&#092;.
Over time, it&#39;s very common to build up hundreds of MB of crap in these folders.
