Im been an arse and quoting this from another forum:

WinMX has not updated its program since version 3.31 was released in October 2002. If they abandon their program then maybe the OpenMX project will turn it into an open source program. The developer of WinMX is Kevin Hearn of Frontcode Technologies. (http://www.frontcode.com/)I hope he makes it open source if he decides to abandon it. How would a developer go about getting the code from a program that is closed source in order to make it open source?

also:

The domain www.openmx.org (http://www.openmx.org) has already been purchased but nothing will be published there if the current owner of www.winmx.com/ (http://www.winmx.com/) renews his domain this october.

<_< Winmx sux and I hope the crummy program dies. Sure it's an average second-generation peer to peer program but nobody shares. How gay.

Hello Arm.

I was wondering where you been.

Folks here been missing your ever-so-positive attitude on, well, anything.

Pessimistic but realistic and truthful. http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v31/samsamsamsam/th_mad01.gif

And if people actually shared their crap on Winmx it could of been alot better. Not as fancy as Kazaa but better for downloading. But it didn't and the program sucked.
