Saw through the window a bat fly around and wondering if it was mine I went out to get a pic.

When I was in the yard I found that my bat hadn't actually flown away but was round the other side of a plant pot about 2 foot away from his original postition :(

Lying on the ground isn't exactly a normal activity for a bat... Maybe a call to your local RSPCA would be in order, don't you think Sam^4?

Thing is I couldn't get that close physically to it anyway as it a long phobia of mine to have a bat fluttering around my face and if it suddenly wakes up...... :ph34r:

Just phoned the RSPCA - apparently bats can&#39;t take off from the ground as they need air-currents underneath them and that is why he isn&#39;t getting far.

Apparently I need to put him in a box then on to a hedge or something. He&#39;ll then crawl to the edge and fly away.

Dan-I&#39;ll edit the photos in the previous posts as photobucket might be gepping up.

Right..........I scooped him up with an indoor shovel type thing and put him on some old carpet I which I had placed on the wall (so he can get a grip of it).

On the wall:

It&#39;s since seeing that Movie "Outdoors" with John Candy where a bat latches onto his face I&#39;ve been a bit worried about that ever since :ph34r:

The shovel did the trick though :D
