okay my friend is getting a new computer and these are his choices:

ya i also say go with teh AMD.

processor is about same performance, but u got double the ram, better speakers, better video card.

I say it is better value.

If so, does he have customizing options or is this a "take-it-or-leave-it" kinda deal?

deffinatly agree,,

a couple reaons:
it has an AMD processor
it has an ATI gfx card
double ram
better speakers..

basically what everybody else said.

I thought the AMD was over priced , in usa funds till I saw the ram . Nice monitor too . Go for it . :)

Definatly go for the AMD&#33;
the 5600Xt that comes with the P4 is shit, and the AMD has twice as much RAM, a nice monitor..
no question, go with the AMD
