In the Canadian federal election, that is. Ideally only Canadians would answer, but that's impossible. ;)

I ask because of the age demographic this board somewhat resides in (although this particular subset is, I think, generally elder). The "youth" turnout has been pegged at about 25%, which is pretty dismal. Hopefully this year's election will be higher, although I doubt it.

Overall, 62% of the entire population voted in the last federal election. That's not a bad showing, but it certainly could be better.

Yes, but not on quite the same American-cum pseudo- quasi- ex-patriot once-removed basis as you, vid.

I'm only here to unduly influence the election. ;)

True enough, but I know there are more than two Canadians that frequent this area of the board. ;)

We should have a poll of what party you are going to vote for. And there should be an option for *all* parties. Not just the big 4.

That defeats the whole "secret ballot." ;) Besides, it's more interesting to see how many people will vote, rather than who they'll vote for.

Edit: Maybe if enough people vote in this poll, I'll go hunt through the ballots for that one.

Well it is still would be a "secret ballot". I mean members would not know who voted for what.

I bet more people will vote in Canadian Idol then vote in the Federal Election. I am very serious about that. I am not joking. It will be very sad in fact if it really does happen.

I wouldn't doubt it.

I voted yes.

I may not be able to vote in the Canadian elections, but I'm sure I can vote for something.

You should have worded your question better. :P

I think you should make a selection called "underage or non canadian", something liek that, so that people not alowed to vote can see the pole results...i clicked no before thinking of this idea...
