So here it is again, best action/shoot out/kung fu/ scenes ever, all in one thread. try to include details of the specific scene and why it was so good for you if you can.

I'll start.

Equilibrium: Shootout in The Nether (?) between Preston and the truck full of guards. Superb "gun-kata" martial arts weapon fighting, fast paced, good soundtrack, backflips...

The final scene in The Way of The Gun - there's no "gun-kata" martial arts weapon fighting, it's not fast paced, there is no soundtrack or backflips, it's just plain tense

I'd say that one of the best is the Bank Heist in 'Heat'...the way its been shot..with a few handhelds and such (i think), just makes it look and feel really raw..the scenes are made even more full on by not including any kind of soundtrack (good move)....it one of those where u feel right in the thick of the action...love it!!

Personally about that scene in Equilibrium..i think its good..but like a lot of the action sequences in that flick...too damn f***in' short!!! Thats what gave the whole movie its cheap-flick vibe...good movie ortherwise...

any equilibrium gun shootout scene, matrix is over the top, equlibrium style is actually doable in a way (practice practice practice, except 4 the backflip+shoot and kill all the ppl at the same time technique)

that one and in Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels when the little woman wakes up, pops out of the couch grabs the bren gun and starts blasting , that was classic.

I have to say the fight scene uma thurman had with the one eyed woman (what's her name?) on kill bill 2 was pretty amazing (squish.) I just thought it was well done .
