greetings all,
downloaded mcafee pro 7.0 and received the mcafee.exe file in good order, however, double clicking on the exe file makes noron installation start......
what is wrong??

IMO if you have Norton installed forget about mcafee. It's junk in comparison. :)

norton is not installed, that is the funny thing about that.
tracked it with register search-
used also Rnav20031.exe from the symantec site to remove the shit, but there seems to be something left.

u downloaded that off Kazaa rite?? :huh:
i got the same thing, and there were tons of sources too. its just a renamed file.
if u want mcaffee, which i did, search for mcafee and download the version:

McAfee VirusScan 7.0 Professional Edition.

It is a little different in size and also includes the firewall.
this is a good version and although it says it is full, in the help info it says its a 180 day trial, after which u can delete the registry entries and reinstall. There should be a lot of sources for this file.

Don't go with McAfee it blows ass. Go with Norton AntVirus 2003 Professional Edition. It is the best one out there by far. Easiest to use and works great. Stick with Norton and throw away Mcafee.
