Got my gmail account today. Quite impressed. The layout of the webmail is logically structured, clean and best thing is you get a 1GB inbox.

I know, it's great. And everything loads up fast too. Even on dial-up.

I got an account recently. Seems good. I was so excited about wanting a 1gb email. Once I got it, i don't really know what to do with the space. Yahoo are doing a 2gb account for £1 a month. Seems like a good deal.

I still dont' get the concept. Why does anyone need a gigabyte for email storage? Don't people know how to download their email?
And for large file transfers, or anything over a few MB (most mail servers limit the incoming file attachment size), email is a pretty inefficient way to send.

Seriously, that's over twice as much space as most 'basic' webhosting packages.

Google seems to give them out whenever they feel like it. Usually between 2-3 days?

Welcome to the world of mass cron jobs. B)

Other people have commented that they recieved their invites between 2-3 days however I have yet to recieve mine.. Also the account needs to be very active. :unsure:
