I was wondering if any of you know of any very enetertaining old and/or underated games that more people should know about. Here's my list of games not many people know of and should try.. also includes old classics people might have missed:

SimTower - Classic, but addicitive
RealMyst - Awsome graphics, unique FPS adventure
Fire Emblem - GBA, awsome rpg
Vagrant Story - PS1, medevil MGS like game
2002 FIFA World Cup - Quite new.. made by Konami
MGS for GBA - Actually a nice/different game. Most people already play PSX MGS tho.
Tomb Raider 2 - Old PC & PSX game. If you never played.. start with this 2nd version.
Road Rash 3D - Old PSX. Nice biker raceing game. awsome soundtrack

the most underrated games I can think of right now

M.U.G.E.N.- a fighter game engine you d/l and add your own characters and stages and soundtrack to-awesome fun there. (a true online secret, very few americans know about it)

Gish- we've been talking about it here, super fun game.

Worms - this series has been my all time favorite game (even on top of half life) nothing compares to the fun of owning everyone once you get really good at it.

www.2flashgames.com - almost every flash game ever, you can never underestimate how much fun a bunch of little tiny games can be.

good question btw, i'm hoping lots of people answer it with others I've never thought of, or seen. :D

Speaking of Mugen - where can you download it ? Elecbyte is down and Google didn't really help.

yeah I heard about elecbyte's demise, most of the sites are in portugese or other foreign languages, so you tell me of a good online translator (I can read portugese, but I'm not familiar with french or italian.)

ahh here's an english one http://www.maximummugen.hpg.ig.com.br/

most of these sites are part of huge mugen networks, so once you find one website you uncover the entire MASSIVE (and I do mean that) network of mugen fans so you will not have any trouble from there (except translating them.) Downloading the right versions of everything can be a problem so make sure you read as many guides and readmes and crap as possible, it can be alot of trouble to get the perfect setup, but once it's done, its alot of fun.

@ Titus, I already tried that site, the download doesn't work anymore and most of the links are broken. I'll keep Googling.

@ Spelunker, ditto - download won't work anymore.

oh how could I forget...trials...from miniclip.com wooo boy that was fun, its a bike game, you know bike trials...i'm sure you can get the full version through our "methods." :D

sorry for the bad link fred, there are a million networks like I said, all dedicated to mugen (at least there were about a year ago when I was playing it) I think at one point I had a mugen client with multiplayer (TCIP) which was fun, keep diggin', I'm over mugen (too much of a good thing) but I would like to know if it works out for you.

this is the greatest game i have ever played!

http://iskor.free.fr/covers/kidchameleon.jpg' width='200' height='120' border='0' alt='click for full size view'>

this is the longest game i have ever played and is almost impossible to beat, especially because this game has no save slots and has too many levels to count.
you have to download the game to see what i mean.

[img) (rom)

and of course you need the emulator (http://gens.consolemul.com/download/wgens211.zip)

IMHO, the best RPG ever (for SNES).Many of you maybe don't know it.That's because it was never released in the USA.

Yep, I'm with Gepper lad in saying Harvest Moon :D

Another two decent ones are Fallout (and definitely its sequel Fallout 2) and Final Fantasy Tactics. Its GBA outing is pretty good, but nothing compared to the PSX version.

Having said that, once you've had a look at FFT there's no way to get around the Front Mission series either... ;)

I think Earthbound is a pretty tight Snes RPG game. It's a modern life mod of your average snes rpg..
for example:
Coke, Burger, Fries: Cureing items
Bat, Bottle Rocket, Gun: Weapons

the game may seem modern, but there's also alot of unknown/psychedelic stuff as well.
It was the first snes rpg I played and I thought it was awsome.

check out the GameFaqs Earthbound Reviews (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/review/8968.html)

Here's one of them:

Earthbound one of the games that most people discounted for the SNES has been hated by millions for it's cartoonish graphics and innovative style, but has been loved by nearly everyone who has picked up a cartridge and played the game and here is why:

Graphics: 10
Ok, now these graphics might not be exactly like the graphics of some of the games of today, or even some of the games out at the time, but they perfectly get over the element they try to express. The cartoonish graphics fit the game well and allow for all the action in the game to take place without a hitch, you can't see any pop-up or un-rounded polygons in the game. Great graphics all around.

Sound: 9
Most of the sound is great, and if you play it for just a couple of minutes odds are you are going to start humming the themes of each area, to perfection. The sound may be simple, but it fits the game nearly to perfection. By far one of the best soundtracks in videogame history.

Storyline: 10
Again, one of the top parts of the game, this story line is amazing. I've never seen anything that could surpass this. It was put together so well, that you could feel like you were part of the game. The storyline gave you an experience that is unmatched by even today's best batches of RPG's.

Innovation: 10
This game was the one that truly showed how good an RPG could be, and also showed that an RPG could happen and not be based around the dark ages, with knights and dragons. This game was the one that paved the way for games like Super Mario RPG.

Replay Value: 10
This game could not have anymore replay value, it came out in 1994 and I got to play it that day, and guess what I still do, nearly six years since the game was released and now I'm still playing it, it's gotta be the best RPG of all time, and without a doubt one of the longest lasting.

Buy or Rent: If you can still find this thing, buy it, you won't regret it, this is among the top games of the system, very few can even touch the pinnacle of excellence that this game first established years ago. This game is without a doubt the best game to never go ultra-popular.

I personally think the game was overlooked and is worth playing.

Some of my old, but cool PSX games are:

Twisted Metal 2 (Ahh my favorite of them all..I think it's still better than TM Black)
Project Overkill (Extremely Difficult. I reccomend this to those masters of gameing)
Battle Arena Toshinden (lJapanese tekken like 3d fighter.. has ring-outs :-D )
Fighting Force (bad-ass psx game!)
Jumping Flash 2 (pretty tough..alot of time limits!)
